Cloudy Skies and Light Rainfall Forecasted for Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces

Kathmandu. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that the country is currently under the partial influence of a western low-pressure system. The hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces are completely cloudy, while the rest of the country is partially cloudy. Light rain is occurring in some places in Bagmati Province and one or two locations in Gandaki Province.

According to the department, there will be fog in many places in the Terai this afternoon. The high hilly and Himalayan parts of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces will remain partially cloudy, while the weather will be mostly clear in the remaining areas. There is a possibility of light snowfall and rain in one or two locations in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

Similarly, tonight, fog will occur in some places in the Terai. The high hilly and Himalayan parts of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim, as well as Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, will be partially cloudy, while the weather will be mostly clear in the rest of the regions. There remains a possibility of light snowfall and rain in one or two locations in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

The department has requested everyone concerned to adopt alertness as snowfall and rain may affect daily life, tourism, health, as well as air and road transport.
