Kathmandu: At present, the country is experiencing a partial influence of westerly winds. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there is a possibility of fog forming in some parts of the Terai region this afternoon.
Currently, partial cloud cover has been observed in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi and Gandaki Provinces, while the weather in the remaining parts of the country is expected to remain mainly clear. Some areas of the Terai are experiencing mist.
The Division further stated that during the afternoon, partial cloud cover will continue in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi and Gandaki Provinces, while the rest of the country will have mainly clear weather.
Similarly, tonight, fog is likely to occur in some parts of the Terai. Partial cloud cover is expected in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim Provinces, while the weather in other areas will remain mostly clear.
The Meteorological Forecasting Division has urged caution, stating that fog and mist may cause delays in air services. Reduced visibility at various airports in the Terai could disrupt flights, and drivers of both long- and short-distance vehicles are advised to remain alert.
