Weather Update: Partial Western Winds Affecting Nepal
Kathmandu — Currently, the country is under the partial influence of western winds. As a result, fog is expected in the Terai region, and partial cloud cover is likely in the hilly areas of Karnali Province, Sudurpaschim Province, Gandaki Province, and Lumbini Province, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.
This afternoon, some areas in the Terai region will experience fog or mist. Hilly and mountainous areas of Lumbini, Karnali, Sudurpaschim, and Gandaki provinces will have partial cloud cover, while the rest of the country will mostly remain clear.
There is also a possibility of light rain or snowfall in one or two high-altitude areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Tonight, a few areas in the Terai region may experience fog. Hilly areas of Karnali, Sudurpaschim, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces will have partial cloud cover, and the rest of the country will mostly remain clear.
Light rain or snowfall is possible in one or two high-altitude areas of Karnali Province.
The Meteorological Forecasting Division has requested necessary precautions as fog and mist in the morning may affect daily life, health, tourism, and air and road transportation.
