Weather Update: Clear Skies with Frost in Some Areas of the Terai

Kathmandu, 16 January: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that no significant weather systems are currently affecting the country. 

However, some areas of the Terai region are expected to experience frost during the daytime. According to the department, partial cloudiness is expected in the high hill and mountainous regions of Koshi and Sudurpashchim Provinces, while the rest of the country will mostly experience clear weather.

Similarly, some areas of the Terai are likely to see frost tonight. Partial cloud cover is expected in Karnali and Sudurpashchim Provinces, while other regions will mostly remain clear.

The department has advised all concerned to take necessary precautions, as frost may have minor impacts on daily life, tourism, health, and both air and road transportation.
