Weather Update: Fair Skies Expected for Elections

Kathmandu. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has released a special weather bulletin targeting the House of Representatives member elections.

According to the "Election Special Weather Bulletin-2" issued on Wednesday by the Meteorological Forecasting Division under the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation, no significant weather systems are expected to affect the country from March 4th to March 6th.

According to the department, the weather will remain generally stable across most parts of the country during the election period. However, there is a possibility of scattered light rain and snowfall in one or two places within the Himalayan and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces on March 4th.

It is predicted that these areas will experience partly cloudy skies on March 5th, and light rain or snowfall may occur again in one or two places on March 6th. Meanwhile, the weather is expected to remain mainly clear for all three days across most parts of Madhesh Province's Terai region, as well as Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces.

Although there is a possibility of partial cloud cover in the Himalayan region of Lumbini Province, the weather in its Terai region will remain clear.

The department stated that it will continue continuous monitoring and analysis of the weather throughout the election period. Additionally, it has requested relevant agencies and the general public to stay updated on current weather information.
