Partial Influence of Westerly Winds Across Nepal
Kathmandu — Nepal is currently experiencing a partial influence of westerly winds. At present, fog has been observed in some areas of the Terai region, while partial cloud cover is seen in the high hilly and Himalayan areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
The Department stated that during the afternoon today, fog or mist will persist in some parts of the Terai. Partial cloud cover is expected over the hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, while the rest of the country will experience generally clear weather. There is a possibility of light rainfall and snowfall at one or two locations in the high hilly and Himalayan areas of Koshi Province.
Similarly, during the night, cloud cover is expected in some areas of the Terai. Partial cloud cover will remain over the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while the weather in other areas will remain mostly clear, the Department said.
