Weather Update: Fog in Terai, Light Snowfall in Mountain Regions

Kathmandu: According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, a western low-pressure system is currently affecting the western region of Nepal. Due to this, light fog has formed in a few places across the Terai region.

Cloudy conditions generally prevail in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with light snowfall and rainfall occurring in some locations. Meanwhile, Koshi and Madhesh provinces are experiencing partly cloudy skies.

The department further stated that fog and mist are likely to occur in some parts of the Terai today. The mountainous regions of the country will generally remain cloudy, while the rest of the areas will see partly cloudy conditions. 

There is also a possibility of light snowfall and rainfall at one or two places in the mountainous regions.
