Weather Update: Partial Influence of Westerly Winds Across Nepal

Weather conditions across the country have changed due to the partial influence of westerly winds. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, fog is expected to occur in most areas of the Tarai region today.

Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, along with the remaining hilly and mountainous regions, are likely to experience partly cloudy conditions. Meanwhile, there is a possibility of light rainfall and snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, the department stated.

Due to fog and mist, air and ground transportation in the Tarai region may be affected. The department has urged the public to take necessary precautions.

In the Kathmandu Valley, the minimum temperature this morning was recorded at 5 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature is expected to range between 17 and 18 degrees Celsius today.
