Weather Forecast Update: Partial Influence of Westerly Winds Across Nepal

Kathmandu — The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that a partial influence of westerly winds is currently affecting the country.

As a result, fog has been observed in some areas of the Terai on Wednesday, while the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi Province and Gandaki Province are experiencing partly cloudy conditions. The rest of the country remains mostly clear.

According to the department, some places in the Terai region will continue to experience fog/mist during the daytime today. The high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Karnali, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces will see partly cloudy skies, while the remaining areas will have mostly clear weather.

Similarly, during the night, fog is expected in a few places in the Terai region, while the hilly and mountainous areas of the country will remain mostly clear.

The department has urged the public to take necessary precautions, as fog and mist during the morning hours may affect daily life, health, tourism, and air and road transportation.
