Weather Forecast: Rain, Snow in High Regions
Kathmandu: According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, a western low-pressure system is currently affecting the western region of Nepal.
Due to this system, fog has formed in some areas of the Tarai, while partial to generally cloudy conditions prevail in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces. Light rainfall and snowfall are occurring at a few places in these regions.
The Division reports that this afternoon, the hilly and Himalayan regions of the country will generally remain cloudy, while the rest of the areas are likely to experience partly cloudy conditions.
There is a possibility of moderate rainfall and snowfall at a few places in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces. Similarly, moderate rainfall and snowfall may also occur at a few locations in the remaining Himalayan regions.
Light rainfall is likely at a few places in the hilly regions of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces, as well as at one or two places in the high hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Lumbini provinces.
Tonight, the Himalayan regions will generally remain cloudy, while partly cloudy conditions are expected in the hilly regions of Gandaki, Karnali, Lumbini, Sudurpashchim, and other provinces.
The Tarai region, however, will mostly experience clear weather. The possibility of moderate rainfall and snowfall at a few places in the high hilly and Himalayan regions will continue.
