Current Weather Situation and Short-Term Forecast Across Nepal

Kathmandu — Nepal is currently under the partial influence of a westerly system. At present, the hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki and Karnali Provinces are generally cloudy. 

In the remaining mountainous areas, the weather is partly cloudy, while the Terai region is mostly clear. Light snowfall and/or rainfall is occurring at one or two places in the mountainous areas of Gandaki Province.

During the daytime, fog or mist is expected to persist until noon in some areas of the Terai region. The mountainous regions of the country will remain partly cloudy, while the rest of the areas will experience mostly clear weather.

At night, the hilly and mountainous regions of Karnali and Sudurpashchim Provinces will generally be cloudy, while the remaining hilly and mountainous areas will be partly cloudy. 

There is a possibility of light snowfall and/or rainfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Karnali and Sudurpashchim Provinces.
