Partial Impact of Western Low-Pressure System Across Nepal
Kathmandu – A partial influence of a western low-pressure system is currently affecting the upper atmosphere of Nepal.
At present, the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are generally cloudy, while other hilly and mountainous areas have partly cloudy conditions. Light rain and snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning are occurring at one or two places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi and Bagmati provinces.
This afternoon, fog is likely in some places of the Terai region during the morning hours. The hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces will remain generally cloudy, while the rest of the hilly and mountainous regions will be partly cloudy.
The weather in the Terai region will remain mainly clear. There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning at a few places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and at one or two places in the hilly and mountainous areas of the remaining provinces.
Similarly, tonight, fog is likely at a few places in the Terai region. The mountainous areas of the country will remain generally cloudy, the hilly regions will be partly cloudy, and the Terai region will have mainly clear weather.
There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning at one or two places in the mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.
