Westerly Low-Pressure System Triggers Rain and Snow Across Nepal
Kathmandu: Currently, there is a general influence of a western low-pressure system in Nepal. Light rain and snow are occurring in a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, as well as in one or two places in the remaining hilly and mountainous areas. The hilly and mountainous parts of the country are generally cloudy, while the weather remains mostly clear in the rest of the regions.
This afternoon, there will be fog in some parts of the Terai region during the morning. The hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, along with the mountainous regions of other provinces, will be generally cloudy. There will be partial cloud cover in the remaining hilly areas. The weather in the Terai region will remain mostly clear.
There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in one or two places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces.
Similarly, tonight there will be haze in a few places in the Terai region. The hilly and mountainous parts of Gandaki province and the mountainous regions of other provinces will be generally cloudy. There will be partial cloud cover in the remaining hilly areas.
The weather in the Terai region will remain mostly clear. There is a possibility of light rain and snow in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
