Light Rain and Snowfall in High Hills and Himalayas Today, Fog in the Terai

Kathmandu: According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, a partial influence of a western low-pressure system is currently affecting the country.

As a result, the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces are fully covered with clouds, while the remaining areas have partly cloudy conditions. The Department stated that fog/mist is likely to persist in some areas of the Terai region during the daytime today.

Across the country, skies will remain partly cloudy, with a chance of light snowfall and rain at one or two locations in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Gandaki Province.

Similarly, tonight, fog is expected in some areas of the Terai, while partly cloudy conditions will prevail in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Lumbini, Karnali, Sudurpaschim, Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. The rest of the country will experience mostly clear weather.

There is also a possibility of light snowfall and rain at one or two locations in the high hilly and Himalayan areas of Gandaki Province.
