Two Posters of ‘Abhimanyu: Chapter 1’ Released, Reflecting a Contrast of Joy and Tension

Kathmandu – Two official posters of the much-anticipated Nepali film ‘Abhimanyu: Chapter 1’ have been released. Produced under the banner of Seven Seas Cinema, the posters reflect the emotions, psychological states of characters, and a sense of mystery surrounding the story.

One of the posters features main cast members including Prakash Dahal, Laxmi Bardewa, Kameshwor Chaurasiya, Gaumaya Gurung, Sarita Giri, Kiran Shrestha, and two other supporting actors. Except for Kiran, all are portrayed with tense expressions. One character is shown in handcuffs, being interrogated by a police officer, while another officer stands nearby for security—depicting the film’s suspense and crime elements.

In contrast, the second poster shows Kameshwor and Laxmi performing an aarti in a temple, both with joyful expressions. Their appearance suggests they are a newlywed couple, representing a softer, romantic aspect of the story.

The posters aim to give viewers a glimpse into the characters’ looks, relationships, and the emotional ups and downs they go through, creating a sense of suspense. A few days ago, a motion teaser of the film was also released, hinting at a struggle driven by the lure of money.

‘Abhimanyu: Chapter 1’ is set to release in Nepali on Bhadra 27 (September 12), and its Hindi version will be released worldwide on Asoj 6 (September 22), according to the production team. The film tells the story of a person who falls into a vicious cycle due to greed for money and struggles to escape from it.

Directed by Sushant Gautam, this film marks his directorial debut. The screenplay is written by Mukesh Khanal, with Madan Thapa serving as the creative director.

The cast includes Kameshwor Chaurasiya, Sarita Giri, Gaumaya Gurung, Laxmi Bardewa, Shishir Wangdel, Kiran Shrestha, Prakash Dahal, and Sushma Nirola. The producers are Binod Paudel and Gunjan Giri, while Ramesh Chaulagai and Hari Shrestha are co-producers. The executive producers include Bishal Lama, Hari Moktan, Krishna Bhattarai, Nirajan Luintel, and Sandesh Shrestha.

Sharad Mahato is the cinematographer, Madan Ghimire is the editor, Supreme Parajuli handled color grading, Manoj Shrestha did the VFX, and Jeevan Shakya served as the line producer.

With the poster release, anticipation for the film among audiences has significantly grown.
