Tribhuvan Highway Operates After Five Hours

Hetauda — Tribhuvan Highway, which had been obstructed for about five hours, has been reopened due to the active involvement of the District Administration Office, Makwanpur.

Following the highway blockage, Chief District Officer (CDO) Basanta Adhikari and Assistant Chief District Officer (Assistant CDO) Mohan Joshi from the District Administration Office, Makwanpur, personally reached the site to initiative the road's clearance.

Security officials and personnel were deployed to clear the road, including Superintendent of Police (SP) Shyam Bahadur Khatri from the District Police Office, Makwanpur; Police Inspector Raju Bista from the District Traffic Police Office, Makwanpur; and SP Niman Khadka, head of the Armed Police Force, Makwanpur.

The blocked road was restored after continuous efforts and coordination among the concerned authorities. The administration, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and other stakeholders played an active role in clearing the road.

During this period, stranded passengers and members of the public were also provided free food through the initiative of the District Administration Office, Makwanpur.

Speaking over the phone, CDO Adhikari shared that they worked tirelessly day and night to clear the highway. His hands-on leadership—reaching the scene directly for rescue, management, and road restoration rather than remaining confined to the office during disasters and blockages—has earned appreciation locally.

The active on-the-ground efforts of the administration and security personnel during such challenging situations have brought relief to passengers and the general public by ensuring smooth public movement.
