Kathmandu, October 7 – The number of travelers returning to Kathmandu after celebrating Dashain has significantly increased from today.
The government had closed three major entry points to the capital from October 4 to 6 due to the risk of floods and landslides. With the reopening of these checkpoints, the flow of vehicles entering Kathmandu has surged.
Traffic police personnel are managing the checkpoints to ensure smooth movement of vehicles.
Travelers are also experiencing heavier traffic after being delayed for several days. Authorities have urged everyone to follow traffic rules and take necessary precautions for a safe journey.
In summary, the rise in traffic is mainly due to the reopening of checkpoints and the post-festival homecoming of people.
