Traffic police take action against 1,406 individuals in 24 hours

Kathmandu: The traffic police have taken action against 1,406 vehicle drivers in the past 24 hours.

During checks conducted by the traffic police in various locations of the Kathmandu Valley up to Saturday morning, 85 drivers were penalized for driving under the influence (DUI), 75 through CCTV monitoring, and 61 for running red lights.

Similarly, action was taken against 180 drivers for speeding, 42 for violating the no-horn rule, 80 for lane violations, 59 for operating vehicles in poor condition, 24 for driving the wrong way (one-way violation), and 800 drivers for other infractions, according to the traffic police.
