Traffic Police Penalize 939 Drivers in 24 Hours

Kathmandu: Traffic police have penalized 939 vehicle drivers over the past 24 hours. According to the traffic police, checks conducted across various locations in the Kathmandu Valley until Tuesday morning resulted in action against 41 drivers for drunk driving, 43 via CCTV monitoring, 53 for running red lights, 87 for speeding, 18 for blowing horns in restricted zones, 34 for lane violations, 28 for operating vehicles in poor mechanical condition, 28 for driving the wrong way on one-way streets, and 607 drivers for other traffic infractions.
