Traffic Police Penalize 1,345 Drivers in 24 Hours

Kathmandu: Traffic police have penalized 1,345 vehicle drivers over the last 24 hours.
According to traffic police, during checks conducted across various locations in the Kathmandu Valley until Tuesday morning, action was taken against 51 drivers for drunk driving (DUI), 71 caught via CCTV, and 56 for running red lights.
Similarly, 142 drivers were penalized for speeding, 41 for improper horning in no-horn zones, 70 for lane violations, 21 for operating vehicles in poor condition, 32 for driving the wrong way on one-way streets, and 861 for other miscellaneous traffic infractions.
