24-Hour Operation: Traffic Police Discipline 841 Drivers
Kathmandu — Traffic police have taken action against 841 vehicle drivers in the past 24 hours. During checks conducted across various locations in the Kathmandu Valley up until Monday morning, traffic police penalised 56 drivers for driving under the influence, 80 drivers identified through CCTV monitoring, and 29 drivers for running red lights. According to traffic police, action was also taken against 54 drivers for speeding, 23 for violating the no-honking rule, 20 for lane crossing violations, 23 for operating vehicles in poor condition, 22 for driving the wrong way on one-way streets, and 534 drivers for various other traffic violations.
