Three Arrested with Illegal Drugs

Kathmandu — Three individuals have been arrested in possession of illegal drugs.

On Monday afternoon, police arrested 31-year-old Suman Bhandari—a native of Nijgadh Municipality-1, Bara, currently residing in Chandragiri, Kathmandu—from Pharping, Dakshinkali Municipality-5. He was apprehended with 2,690 tablets of controlled prescription drug Tramadol and 236 tablets of Nitrazepam. A police team deployed from the Pharping Area Police Office made the arrest.

In a separate incident on Monday, police arrested two individuals from Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City-4 with 153 grams and 950 milligrams of brown heroin. The arrestees have been identified as 30-year-old Sushil Bhandari, a resident of Ward No. 4, and 55-year-old Arun Kumar Jaiswal, a resident of Ward No. 10 of the same sub-metropolitan city. They were detained by a team from the Narcotics Control Bureau Branch Office, Nepalgunj.

During further investigation, police searched Arun Kumar's residence and seized an additional 425 grams of brown heroin, NPR 180,000 in cash, INR 214,000, and one digital weighing scale.

Police are conducting necessary investigations regarding both cases.
