Three Arrested in Sindhuli with 44.340 Grams of Brown Sugar
Sindhuli — Three individuals have been arrested from the Dudhauli Municipality-9 area of Sindhuli in possession of 44.340 grams of brown sugar (heroin).
A police team deployed from the Narcotics Control Bureau Branch Office in Bardibas made the arrest after intercepting a car (Ba 16 Cha 7846) traveling from Mirchaiya, Siraha to Kathmandu based on suspicion. Upon searching the vehicle, officers discovered 44.340 grams of brown sugar hidden inside the gearbox.
The arrestees are 26-year-old Umesh Kumar Yadav of Laxmipur Patari Rural Municipality-2, Siraha, who identified himself as a correspondent for Janjagaran Khabar; 30-year-old Ramesh Kumar Ram of Lahan Municipality-10; and 25-year-old Gulshan Prasad Sah of Laxmipur Patari Rural Municipality-2.
At the scene, police seized the 44.340 grams of brown sugar, four mobile phones, and the car. Preliminary investigations indicate that Umesh Kumar Yadav had purchased the car on an installment plan from Hulas Finance in Kathmandu.
All three individuals and the seized items have been handed over to the Area Police Office in Dakaha, Sindhuli, for further investigation and legal action.
