Temporary Power Outage Scheduled in Maharajganj Areas of Kathmandu
Kathmandu – The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has announced a temporary power shutdown on Wednesday in various areas under the Maharajganj Distribution Center.
According to the authority, the electricity supply will be halted to manage the load of feeders, carry out construction of a new Pasikot feeder, charge breakers and underground (UG) cables, and transfer the load of the Sukedhara feeder operated from Chabahil Sub-Station to the Bhangal feeder of 132/11 Chapali Sub-Station.
As per the schedule, from 11:38 AM to 1:00 PM, power will be cut in areas under the Ganeshsthan feeder, including Bhotekhōk and surrounding areas of Ganeshchok, as well as areas under the Bhangal feeder, including Lower Bhangal and the Dhobikhola corridor.
Similarly, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, power will be disrupted in areas under the Shivapuri feeder, including Pasikot and Chyasingdol of Budhanilkantha Municipality.
The Nepal Electricity Authority has clarified that if the work is completed earlier than scheduled, power supply will be restored ahead of time.
The authority apologized for the inconvenience caused to customers due to the power outage.
