Excitement Among Youth as Recruitment for Election Police Begins in Bara

Rautahat: With the recruitment process for temporary police (election police) underway to ensure security for the upcoming House of Representatives election on Falgun 21, enthusiastic participation of youth has been observed in Bara. On the very first day of recruitment, a large crowd of applicants gathered at the District Police Office in Bara.

The high turnout on the first day reflects both local interest in the elections and the employment opportunities associated with it. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and not older than 54 to be eligible. The tenure for recruited temporary police will be 40 days. Bara administration has requested a total of 4,034 temporary police personnel to secure various polling centers and manage the election process in the district. The deadline for applications is set for Magh 1.

The government aims to recruit a total of 133,980 temporary police nationwide for this election. To ensure a fear-free and peaceful election environment, around 150,000 security personnel will be deployed under an integrated security plan, with coordination among the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and the National Investigation Department.
