Teacher Federation Kaski Council Concludes, Senior Teachers Honored

Pokhara: The second district council of the Nepal Teacher Federation, Kaski, concluded in Pokhara on Sunday.

During the program presided over by Bholanath Paudel, President of the Nepal Teacher Federation Kaski, Dhanraj Acharya, Mayor of Pokhara Metropolitan City, expressed that the Teacher Federation should pay special attention to the fact that community schools have not been able to produce satisfactory results despite significant investment. 

Acharya stated that the metropolis has provided some incentive allowances for headmasters with the belief that a school's quality improves when the headmaster provides effective leadership.

Loknath Acharya, Chief of the Education Development and Coordination Unit Kaski, urged teachers to stop complaining that local levels are suppressing them and instead focus on fulfilling their duties. 

While praising the role played by the Teacher Federation in solving educational problems such as the adjustment of teacher positions in Kaski, he remarked that everyone's activities should be student-centered.

Deepak Paudel, founding president of the Nepal Teacher Union Kaski, recalled the educational movement in Kaski and emphasized that everyone should work together for professional interests.

Ram Pokharel, Central Vice President of the Nepal Teacher Federation, stated that the achievements of the 29-day teacher protest held at the federation's call will gradually become visible. 

He asserted that the federation is committed to ensuring that the hard work of teachers across the country during the movement does not go to waste, noting that the importance of professional organizations will never diminish.

During the program, Co-president of the Federation Kaski Dilliram Baral, President of Nepal National Teacher Organization Kaski Tirtharaj Dhakal, Secretary of Nepal Teacher Association Kaski Taranath Bhandari, District Vice President of Integrated All Nepal Teacher Organization Prakash Rijal, former President of Nepal Teacher Union Kaski Jagannath Adhikari, Officer of Pokhara Metropolitan City Education Division Ram Prasad Tiwari, former President of Integrated All Nepal Teacher Organization Taranath Paudel, immediate past President of the Federation Kaski Bodhraj Paudel, immediate past Secretary Maniram Kandel, President of Nepal Progressive Teacher Organization Kaladhar Subedi, President of All Nepal Teacher Association Prem Bahadur Thapa, and President of Nepal Teacher Federation Pokhara Nandalal Kafle, among others, emphasized that the federation should play a leading role for the rights and interests of teachers and staff.

On the occasion, founding president of Nepal Teacher Union Kaski Deepak Paudel, former president Jagannath Adhikari, Central Vice President of the Federation Ram Pokharel, immediate past president of Kaski Bodhraj Paudel, immediate past secretary Maniram Kandel, and Rudranath Sapkota were honored for their special contributions to the educational movement in Kaski.

The progress report presented by the Secretary of the Federation Kaski, Harka Lamichhane, and the financial report presented by Treasurer Krishna Timilsina were passed during the event.

In the educational interaction held on the same occasion, discussions took place regarding issues such as local allowances and the appointment of headmasters.
