Sunil Giri Releases ‘Taalko Pani’: A Song of Life, Dreams, and Freedom

Kathmandu – Renowned singer and composer Sunil Giri has released his new song ‘Taalko Pani’ today, marking the special occasion of his birthday on July 17. Released via his official YouTube channel, the song has already gained over 23,000 views within just a few hours and is receiving a positive response from listeners.

The song beautifully captures the emotional depth of growing older — reflecting on life’s changes, unfulfilled childhood dreams, the desire for freedom, and the pull of cherished memories. With heartfelt lyrics and a soulful melody, the song evokes deep introspection and love for life.

The music video was shot on the journey to Phoksundo Lake in Dolpa, showcasing the region’s stunning natural beauty and conveying a strong message to promote domestic tourism. The video is directed by Giri himself and features performances by Gokarna Kathayat, Binod Adhikari, Akash Neupane, Jagadish Acharya, Dipesh Shahi, and Bivek BK alongside him.

The lyrics, vocals, composition, and music arrangement are all by Sunil Giri. Ratna BK has played the flute, Bhuwan Gandharva played the madal, and Sanjeev Baraili contributed on guitar. The recording was done by Kamal Magar and Govind Anek, while Shyamshwet Rasaily of Prism Studio handled the mixing and mastering.

The cinematography was done by Bivek BK, with video editing and color grading by Manoj Karki of Luminous Postworks. Pawan Simkhada managed the posters, digital assets, and distribution.
