Trailer of ‘Janaai Haraayeko Manche: Sambandhka Dhagaaharu’ Released, Story of Poverty, Dreams, and Struggles

Kathmandu — On the occasion of Janaai Purnima, the trailer of the Nepali film “Janaai Haraayeko Manche: Sambandhka Dhagaaharu” has been released. At a special event held in Kathmandu, the production team unveiled the trailer, stating that the story revolves around financial hardship, the dream of prosperity, and the struggles faced by the main character in pursuit of that dream.

In the trailer, bijay Baral plays a character who plans to go to Korea to pay off his father’s debt. However, upon reaching Kathmandu, circumstances prevent him from traveling abroad, leading him into a journey filled with deception, obligations, and relentless challenges. Unable to go to Korea, he remains in Kathmandu, where he meets Miruna Magar and falls in love. The story also touches on the hardships faced by Keki Adhikari’s character within her family, adding emotional depth to the narrative.

According to the filmmakers, the movie is based on the lives of lower-middle-class Nepalis, making it relatable to the audience. The cast includes Miruna Magar, Keki Adhikari, Sushank Mainali, Gaurav Pahadi, Bhola Raj Sapkota, Riar Rai, Tara Sharma, Bhawana Khapangi Magar, Rupesh Lama, and Suman Thapa, among others.

Directed by Himal Nyaupane, the film also features Prem Geet 3 actor Manish Raut as the associate director. Produced by Kamal Nyaupane and Bimal Nyaupane, the executive producers are Narayan Timilsina, Chudamani Sibakoti, R.K. Manandhar, C.R. Basnet, Philip D.C., and James Maharajan.

The music is by Thaneshwar Gautam, Arjun Pokharel, S.D. Yogi, and Prashant Sibakoti; cinematography by Krishna Pariyar, DOP by Nabin Gurung, and story, screenplay, and dialogues by Bhanubhakta Dhakal. Govinda Shahi’s Kafiya Films has taken on the responsibility of distribution.

Scheduled for release on August 22, the film marks bijay Baral’s first lead role of the year after his appearance in the all-time blockbuster “Purnabahadurko Sarangi.”
