Simara Unrest After Clash, Curfew Reimposed from 1 PM to 8 PM
Tension has escalated again in the Simara area of Bara district. Following a clash between youths and the police, the District Administration Office has issued a curfew order today from 1 PM in the afternoon to 8 PM in the evening.
According to the notice issued by the administration, the curfew order has been enforced in the following areas, keeping security sensitivity in mind:
Birganj-Pathlaiya Road Section: Within a distance of 500 meters on both the right and left sides of the highway, from the south of Pathlaiya Chowk up to the Lalka Bridge in Jeetpur.
Simara Airport: The area up to 500 meters around (on all four sides of) Simara Airport.
The local administration has urged the general public not to leave their homes or gather during the curfew period unless it is for essential work.
