Saugat Malla Joins ‘Mitjyu’; Reunites with Dayahang Rai

Renowned actor Saugat Malla has been signed for the upcoming film Mitjyu, directed by Anil Budha Magar. The production team officially announced his signing on Thursday, stating that his inclusion further strengthens the film’s cast.

Previously, actors Dayahang Rai, Teriya Magar, and Smita Lamichhane had already been confirmed for the film. With Saugat's arrival, the powerful reunion of Dayahang and Saugat is expected to raise audience excitement even more, according to the producers. The director mentioned that the casting process for other roles is still ongoing.

The story of the film is written by Mahesh Rai, and it is being produced by Janak Gharti Magar, who previously produced the hit film Gharjwai. This marks the second collaboration between director Anil Budha Magar and producer Janak Gharti Magar.

The cinematography will be handled by Shishir Bishankhe. Produced under the banner of GM Movies Production Pvt. Ltd., the film is scheduled to begin shooting in the second week of Mangsir (late November) in Pokhara and Dhorpatan areas.

According to the production team, the film is slated for release on Chaitra 27 (early April). With a strong cast lineup and a fresh storyline, Mitjyu is already being seen as one of the most anticipated projects in the Nepali film industry.
