Senior Ophthalmologist Sanduk Ruit Declines Offer to Become Minister

Kathmandu, 16,September – Senior ophthalmologist Dr. Sanduk Ruit has declined the offer to join the government as a minister, proposed by Prime Minister Sushila Karki.
On Tuesday, Dr. Ruit, visiting Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology, stated that he would support the government but could not participate directly as a minister.
Speaking to the media after discussions, Dr. Ruit emphasized that he could not leave his hospital duties and patients.
Although there had been talks of appointing him as a minister in the interim government formed after the Jenji movement, Dr. Ruit reaffirmed his commitment to serving citizens through his medical profession.
