Crime, Action, and Revenge: A Look at the 'Sahu Ba' Trailer
Kathmandu. The trailer for the web series 'Sahu Ba' has been released. Produced jointly by Music Nepal and Frame in Motion, the trailer released by the production team on Sunday appears to ignite curiosity and excitement among the audience.
The released 1 minute and 44 seconds long trailer clearly indicates that the story of the series is centered on 'crime, action, and revenge.'
The trailer starts with Biju Parki as the lead character, and a white paper airplane shown in the middle creates curiosity among viewers. This could be a memory of a character's childhood or a signal for revenge given to someone. Having that airplane in hands smeared with blood suggests that the emotional revenge aspect of this series is strong.
The trailer showcases intense action scenes, police investigation processes, and conflicts between characters through high-quality cinematography. Specifically, the struggle of a young man burning in the fire of revenge and the criminal networks he must face are given primary focus. Scenes involving fire, weapons, and hospitals indicate a high level of suspense in the series.
While Nepali web series usually focus more on dialogue, 'Sahu Ba' seems to prioritize action. Street scenes shown in the trailer, stunts on moving vehicles, and choreographed fight scenes inside warehouses have been filmed with great effort. Sparks of fire and the use of weapons make it a hardcore action series.
A grand red chair shown at the end of the trailer symbolizes the struggle for power or authority of 'Sahu Ba.' Who the owner of this chair is and how much blood must be shed to reach it might be the main climax of the series.
According to director and writer Sujoy Yong, this series is not just a common project but an ambitious work in the Nepali digital world. More than 380 actors have performed in it, which is a very large number in the history of Nepali web series.
The production team spent about three years to give a complete shape to this 24-episode series.
The series features performances from established artists of Nepali cinema and theater, including Priyanka Karki, Kabita Nepali, Biju Parki, Sarita Giri, Namrata Shrestha, Amit Shah, Amit Giri, Priyanka Chaudhary, Hina Nagarkoti, Bimal Puri, Ramesh Adhikari, Pradeep Bastola, Krishna Bhakta Mahajan, and others.
Ayushman D Joshi, Sangam Rai, and Anish Tamang are the cinematographers of this series, while Ram Prasad Chaudhary is the editor. With songs by Sagar Ale, Mr. D, and Ujan Shakya, the action is directed by Pema Lama and Raju Tamang.
The series will formally start broadcasting from 17 April 2026 (4 Baisakh 2083 BS). Viewers can watch all episodes on the MOMO app from 6 PM, while it will be released weekly on Music Nepal Entertainment's YouTube channel.
