Child Loses Life in Collision with Vehicle Used by RSP Candidate

Rautahat. A young girl has died after being struck by a vehicle used for the election campaign of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Sagir Alam in Ishnath Municipality-4, Rautahat.

On Thursday afternoon, a car with the number Ba 15 Cha 4244 hit 4-year-old Alpha Khatun while she was playing on the road. The driver took the injured girl to City Hospital in Gaur for treatment but fled the scene immediately after leaving her there.

According to the police, the girl died at 2:45 PM after being moved to the Provincial Hospital for further treatment. Police have taken the vehicle involved in the accident into custody and are currently searching for the absconding driver while conducting further investigations into the incident.
