Government Opens Route Permits for Dashain Festival

The government has opened route permits starting Monday, coinciding with Ghatasthapana, ahead of the Dashain festival. The permits will be valid nationwide until October 8.
Although route permits are now active, restrictions will remain for certain types of public vehicles prohibited on specific routes due to their nature or safety concerns.
To ensure smooth traffic flow, large vehicles such as trailers, except those transporting essential goods like food, will not be allowed to operate on the Narayanghat–Kathmandu route from Ghatasthapana on September 22 to Purnima.
