Chandranigahpur–Dhansar Road Reopens After 24-Hour Blockage
Rautahat — The Chandranigahpur–Dhansar section of the East–West Highway, which had been blocked for the past 24 hours, reopened on Tuesday morning.
The road was obstructed after a LP gas tanker, UP-17 AT-2114, traveling from Raxaul in India toward Mahendranagar in Dhanusha, met with an accident.
According to Inspector Rajendra Thapa Magar of the District Traffic Police Office, Rautahat, the technical team safely removed the overturned tanker using a bullet crane, after which traffic was resumed. The road was cleared over approximately two hours while adhering to safety measures.
The Chandranigahpur Police Station stated that vehicles were allowed to operate only after the road was completely safe. After a long traffic jam, vehicles are now gradually moving toward their destinations.
