Rescue of a Chinese National from Trishuli-1 Hydropower Project

Kathmandu: A Chinese national has been rescued from Audit-4 tunnel of the Upper Trishuli-1 Hydropower Project, which was affected by the Bhote Koshi flood.

According to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, a team comprising the Nepali Army and South Korean disaster experts safely rescued the Chinese national from inside the tunnel a short while ago.

The rescued individual is being brought to the Maithil Barracks in Trishuli, Nuwakot, for further treatment and health examination.

The Chinese national, who was trapped inside the tunnel, was rescued on the 11th day after the Bhote Koshi flood occurred.
