Nine Fatalities in Passenger Bus Accident in Ramechhap
Ramechhap. Nine individuals have lost their lives in a passenger bus accident in the Lilauti area near Tribeni, located in Manthali Municipality-6, Bhaluwajor, Ramechhap. The Araniko passenger bus, with the Number plate Pradesh 03-01-005 Kha 1975, was traveling from Kathmandu to Okhaldhunga when it plunged directly from the road into the Tamakoshi River at approximately 11:00 AM on Tuesday morning.
Following the accident, local residents, security personnel, and rescue teams have been working together to rescue the injured. According to Police Inspector Rajan Prasad Timsina of the District Police Office, Ramechhap, nine bodies have been recovered from the bus submerged in the Tamakoshi River so far.
More than 10 people have been rescued and sent to the hospital for treatment. Efforts to recover others from the submerged bus in the Tamakoshi are still underway. Police stated that the cause of the accident is yet to be determined, and further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
