Purna Basnet’s Appeal: Let’s Work to Minimize Physical and Human Losses from the Torrential Rainfall

Purna Basnet, Head of Publicity and Publication Department of Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal, has stressed the need to work towards minimizing possible physical and human losses caused by the ongoing torrential rainfall in the country.

Through social media, he appealed to everyone to take actions to protect themselves and others from potential risks and disasters such as floods, landslides, and inundation.

Basnet stated, “Due to the Jenji rebellion, the country has already suffered significant physical and human losses. Immediately after that, the torrential rainfall could inflict further damage. To protect the nation from such losses, all of us must take necessary initiatives from our respective places.”

He also urged everyone to engage in the dissemination of information and awareness, as well as in rescue, relief, and rehabilitation efforts.
