Prime Minister Oli Highlights Timely Budget Approval for Universities as a Notable Achievement
Kathmandu, July 17 – Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has stated that the timely approval of budgets for universities through recently held Senate meetings marks a positive development.
Sharing the update via his official Facebook account, he wrote, “Most of my time last week was spent in university Senate meetings. This time, in order to ensure proper governance of the universities, the Senate has completed the task of approving the budgets before the start of the new fiscal year.”
Recalling past trends where budgets were often approved only toward the end of the fiscal year, Prime Minister Oli expressed satisfaction with the current timely process.
He added that with the new fiscal year beginning today (Shrawan 1),all universities have had their budgets and programs approved in advance, which has given rise to hope that they will now be able to implement their planned activities effectively.
“Although it took a lot of time, I feel satisfied. There is now increased confidence that all universities will carry out their scheduled programs,” he stated.
