Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli Urges Public to Stay Alert Amid Weather Warnings

Kathmandu, 20 July – Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has appealed to the public to remain cautious in light of possible weather-related disasters.

Posting on Facebook this morning, Prime Minister Oli informed that the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecast heavy rainfall in various parts of the country this afternoon. He urged everyone to avoid long-distance travel unless absolutely necessary and to stay in safe locations.

He also requested all citizens to follow the safety advisories issued by security agencies and instructed security personnel to remain prepared for any emergencies.

The Meteorological Department has warned that heavy rain could trigger landslides, floods, and waterlogging in several areas across the country.
