Press Chautari Nepal Celebrates 28th Anniversary
Kathmandu. On the occasion of its 28th anniversary, Press Chautari Nepal has extended its best wishes to working journalists, well-wishers, and supporters.
In a message issued by General Secretary Hiraman Lama, tributes were paid to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for democracy, the republic, and full press freedom. It was noted that Press Chautari Nepal has become a strong and credible organization due to the contributions of predecessors and the dedication of journalists.
The message expressed respect for late founding president Bijay Chalise, the late Agni Shikha, and other senior journalists, while recalling the organization's contributions to the rights of working journalists, mass communication policy, and social awareness.
Pointing out that the rise of misinformation, propaganda, and commercialism in the communication sector is concerning, the organization expressed its commitment to stand clearly against such trends.
Additionally, it stated that priority will be given to strengthening digital infrastructure, developing skilled human resources, and creating a technology-friendly communication system.
