President Paudel, Accompanied by Wife, Offers Chhath Prayers at Gaurighat (Photos)

On the occasion of the Chhath festival, President Ram Chandra Paudel, accompanied by his wife Sabita Paudel, visited Gaurighat on Monday to perform religious worship and offer prayers.

President Paudel went to the Chhath worship site prepared along the Bagmati River in the Guhyeshwari-Gaurighat area, where he paid respects to the Chhathi Mata (Goddess) and the Sun God (Surya), and performed the puja (worship).

In line with the tradition of the President visiting various Chhath ghats (river banks) during the festival, which is celebrated from the fourth to the seventh day of the bright lunar fortnight of the Kartik month (Kartik Shukla Chaturthi to Saptami), he participated in the prayers at Gaurighat.
