Former Minister Pradeep Yadav Participates in Chhath Puja at Ancestral Village
Birgunj (Parsa), 27th October: Pradeep Yadav, Deputy General Secretary of Janata Samajwadi Party and former minister, today participated in the Chhath festival's special occasion at the Chhath Ghat in his ancestral village, Maniyari, Ward No. 22 of Birgunj Metropolitan City. He joined his family members with a 'Daura' (basket of offerings) and offered 'Arghya' to the setting sun.
Yadav, who is also the incumbent Member of the House of Representatives from Parsa Constituency No. 1, worshipped Chhathi Mata in the evening with his family members and extended greetings to all countrymen on the auspicious occasion of Chhath. He also posted videos and pictures on social media showing himself carrying the 'Daura' towards the Chhath Ghat.
Writing on social media, the former minister said, "On the auspicious occasion of the great festival Chhath, a symbol of public faith and nature worship, I was fortunate to reach the Chhath Ghat in my ancestral village Maniyari, Ward No. 22 of Birgunj Metropolitan City, with my family, carrying a 'Daura' to offer 'Arghya' to the setting sun and worship Chhathi Mata this evening."
He stated that while offering 'Arghya' to the setting sun, he prayed for the prosperity, peace, happiness, and joy of the entire nation. He also wished that this great festival would inspire all Nepalis to be proud of their traditions and culture.
Wishing for happiness and prosperity in the lives of all Nepalis, Minister Yadav said that Chhath is not just a festival but a symbol of the spiritual, cultural, and communal power of society. He emphasized the need to focus on preserving the customs by handing over this tradition to the future generations.
Deputy General Secretary Yadav said that the Chhath festival creates a sense of brotherhood, unity, and love in society, and highlighted the necessity of making the new generation understand the importance of Chhath and its cultural aspects.
This festival, which is celebrated with the utmost devotion in Madhesh Province, is joyously observed in every household here, and there is a tradition for everyone, whether old or young, to celebrate it with equal reverence and devotion.-1761562937.jpg)
