Police Entered Durga Prasai’s Home at Midnight Using a Ladder
Kathmandu — Police officers who went to arrest Durga Prasai at midnight had taken a ladder with them as part of their preparation. According to sources, the police reached his residence late at night and arrested him while he was still in bed.
During the earlier attempt to arrest Prasai, police had faced difficulties because they were unable to climb the tall boundary wall surrounding his home.
They had spent a long time trying to enter the premises after the gate remained closed. Eventually, the police team had to use a ladder to climb over the wall and take him into custody.
Based on the challenges they encountered during the previous attempt, police this time went prepared and carried a ladder with them, the source added. The officers used the ladder to scale the high wall, enter the house, and arrest Prasai.
According to SP Pawan Kumar Bhattarai of the District Police Range, Kathmandu, Prasai was arrested for giving statements that could disrupt public peace.
