PM Oli Inaugurates Chuwa Khola Bailey Bridge on Karnali Corridor in Humla
Humla, July 6 — Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli inaugurated the Chuwa Khola Bailey Bridge today, a significant infrastructure milestone along the Karnali Corridor road in Kharpunath, Humla. The strategic highway is expected to enhance Nepal’s connectivity with neighboring countries China and India.
In a Facebook post following the inauguration, PM Oli expressed his appreciation to the Nepali Army for their crucial role in constructing the road by breaking through tough mountain rocks in the remote Himalayan region.
“The Karnali Corridor highway will expand our access to international markets,” Oli wrote, emphasizing the long-term economic and strategic importance of the route.
He also shared his delight in meeting local residents during his visit, calling it a "pleasant encounter with the brothers and sisters of Humla."
"Congratulations to all," the Prime Minister added, celebrating the successful completion of the bridge and the progress it represents for national development and regional inclusion.
