PM Disaster Relief Fund Receives Over Rs 60 Crore on Monday for Rasuwa Relief Operations

Kathmandu. A total of Rs 600.2 million was collected in the Prime Minister's Natural Disaster Relief Fund on Monday in a single day. Handing over checks to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle, a total of 83 industrialists, business groups, and philanthropic individuals provided the amount to the government. The money was donated with the purpose of spending it for the flood victims of Rasuwa.

The government had started collecting physical support amounts through the Ministry of Finance for the Prime Minister's Relief and Rescue Fund from bhadra 11. Today's amount received through the Ministry of Finance is the highest collected since then. Today, the total amount of checks handed over by donors through Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle and Acting Finance Secretary Uttar Khatri stands at Rs 600,220,106.62.

On bhadra 11, Rs 273.3 million; on bhadra 12, Rs 386.064 million; and on bhadra 14, Rs 47.9 million along with USD 200,000 were handed over by donors through checks to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle.

According to ministry data, a total of Rs 1.3075 billion has been deposited into the Prime Minister's Relief Fund through the Finance Minister over four days. Of that amount, Rs 80,000 was in cash, while the rest were account-payee checks. Additionally, a check for USD 200,000 was also received by the ministry.
