Subas Thapa Unveils Teaser of ‘Phrenia’
Kathmandu, August 12 – Actor and producer Subas Thapa has released the teaser of his short film Phrenia, in which he plays the lead role. Known for films such as Kohi Mero, Tori Lahure, Breakfail, Sorry La, Tathastu, and Birkhelai Chinchas, Thapa revealed that Phrenia has been made with a focus on international film festivals.
Residing in the United States for over a decade, Thapa has continued his acting career abroad, appearing in music videos like Jindagani, Timi Aafno, and Kulchihidchhan Phullai, as well as several short films and series.
Centered on the psychological struggle and creativity of a painter, the 20-minute-long Phrenia is directed by Thapa himself, who also stars in the main role. The film is produced by Subas Thapa, Supreem Baskota, Narendra Saud, Hemant Nyaupane, and Bejan Faramarzi, with Subarna Thapa and Narayan Puri serving as executive producers. Shot by Bejan Faramarzi, the project is produced under Pegasus Entertainment.
Having previously made Birkhelai Chinchas, Thapa has also announced plans to produce a new Nepali feature film next year.
