Release Date for 'Pension Patta' Set for Haritalika Teej

The release date for the movie 'Pension Patta', directed by artist Maotse Gurung, has been announced. Along with the release of the title poster on the occasion of the Nepali New Year, it was informed that the cinema will be released nationwide on the upcoming Bhadra 26, during the great festival of women, Haritalika Teej.

Director Gurung stated that the release date was announced on an auspicious day, as Baisakh 1 is not only the New Year but also the birthday of actor Dayahang Rai. "So far, we are the only ones on this date. We announced the release date in consultation with the distributors and the production team. We have chosen a good date. We are confident that the business will be good," said Director Gurung.

Director Gurung, known as the 'Godfather' of Gurung cinema, has invested in this project. The film features performances by Dayahang Rai, Sunil Thapa, Pashupati Rai, Gaumaya Gurung, Buddhi Tamang, Wilson Bikram Rai, Raj Thapa Kaucha, Luniva Tuladhar, Bishwas Gurung, Maya Gurung, Yasili Rai, DB Gurung, and Pratikshya Gurung, among others. Bishwas and Maya are making their debut in the Nepali silver screen from Gurung cinema through this movie.

Produced under the banner of Maotse Gurung Films, the story of the movie is also written by Director Gurung himself. Although the title might suggest a story about an ex-soldier, Director and Producer Gurung explains that it shows how a greedy boy becomes generous.

The film is invested in by Min Konme Gurung (Sikles), Bhoj Bahadur Gurung (UK), and Sapana Gurung, with DB Gurung as the production manager. Sushan Prajapati is the cinematographer, while casting director Suraj Tamu and music composers Manoj Thapa Magar, Shiva Baraili, and Surung Gurung are working on the project.

Surendra Poudel is editing the film, and Taranath Neupane serves as the chief assistant director. The movie will be distributed nationwide by Rohit Kattel and Ratna Shrestha's RR Films.
