Two Distinct Posters of Nita Dhungana’s Directorial Film Parbati Released with Official Premiere Date

Kathmandu — Marking the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Nita Films has unveiled two strikingly different posters for the upcoming Nepali film Parbati, directed by actress Nita Dhungana Adhikari. Along with the poster launch, the production team has confirmed the film’s release date for Magh 1, 2082 (January 15, 2026).
The first poster depicts Parbati under a yellow umbrella, carrying a whistle and a water bottle, with a serious look on her face — symbolizing life’s challenges, deep contemplation, and hidden sensitivity. In contrast, the second poster shows her in traditional village attire, wearing a gentle smile and a shy expression, hinting at innocence, moments of childhood delight, and a relaxed view of life.
Penned by Nita Dhungana, with screenplay and dialogues by Shivam Adhikari, the film will feature cinematography by Kabir Lal and Shahid Lal. The production team includes Sanija Adhikari, Nursery Adhikari, and Pawan Dhungana. According to the makers, Parvati is a blend of humor, emotions, and social messages, exploring life’s colors, the sweetness of relationships, and the essence of struggle through the eyes of an ordinary character.
Filming will commence in Asoj (September–October 2025), though the complete cast and technical crew have yet to be revealed. Director Dhungana shared that more details will be announced soon. Distribution will be handled by Rich Entertainment and Apple Entertainment within the Kathmandu Valley, while FD Company will manage distribution outside the Valley.
