One Dead, One Injured in Parsa Car Accident

RAUTAHAT — One person died and another was seriously injured when a car carrying a wedding procession crashed in Sakhua Prasouni Rural Municipality of Parsa on Monday night. 

The car, bearing registration number BR 0645, was traveling from the home of Saheb Sahani in Ramnagari, Bahudarmai Municipality-8, toward Ekdarwa village in Sakhua Prasouni when the accident occurred near the Gandak canal in Mahuwan. The uncontrolled vehicle struck a pipal tree on the roadside at approximately 9:15 PM.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Hari Bahadur Basnet of Parsa, the driver, who was critically injured in the crash, died at 10:15 PM while undergoing treatment at LS Neuro Hospital in Nautan, Bara. 

The identity and address of the deceased driver have not yet been established. Another passenger who was seriously injured in the accident is currently receiving treatment at the same hospital. Police stated that further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
